3. Strawberries: Strawberries contain natural teeth whitening agents and the seeds work great for cleaning. After having some, brush immediately. If you wish you can rub, you can either rub the strawberry against your teeth, or mash it up to use it like toothpaste.
4. Wood Ash: Though its hard to believe, hard wood ash helps in whitening teeth. It contains a compound called potassium hydroxide that bleaches your teeth. While using wood, don't scrub too hard.
5. Homemade tooth paste: For whiter teeth, make a paste consisting of baking soda, table salt, hydrogen peroxide, and a dab of toothpaste. Mix them all together and brush to find the stains tracking away along with the froth.
6. Avoid smoking or taking caffeinated drinks.
7. Drink 10 glasses or more of water to flush toxins away.
8. Another effective home remedy is to apply the juice of a lemon which has bleaching properties.
One can maintain a diet and avoid the tooth decaying foods by reducing the intake of simple sugars, the sugars in honey, fruit and milk that have some effect on the teeth.
