3. A tea prepared by boiling one tea spoon of seeds of fenugreek in 300 ml of water till it is reduced to half, helps the body to produce perspiration, dispel toxicity, and shorten the period of fever.
4. A tea spoon of cumin seeds tied in a thin cotton cloth provides relief when inhaled.
5. Carrot juice in combination with juices of beet and cucumber or with spinach has been found to be beneficial in the treatment of sinus trouble.
6. The diets rich in vitamin A are the best insurance against cold and sinus trouble.
7. Fresh fruit and vegetable juices will improve the immune system to keep away the germs of sinusitis.
8. Hot and cold water application: Alternate hot and cold water applications also prove beneficial. Take pans of hot and cold water and wash the whole face with hot water as hot as you can bear and then apply cold water for a short duration on the face. Inhalation of steam and proper sleep alongwith adequate rest are essential.
