- Increase the intake of calcium inside the body.

- Mix equal parts of tinctures of calendula, oats, burdock, echinacea, and lomatium. Take half teaspoon of it, 4 or 5 times daily.
- Apply a tea bag since the tannic acid in the tea has antiviral properties, it stops further development.
- You can press warm tea bags on the cold sores for some time. They disappear within a few days.
- Even foods with high arginine content such as chocolates, peas, oatmeal, seeds, and whole-wheat should be reduced from the diet.
- Intake of vitamin B complex supplements with B 12 and folic acid helps in curing the sores.
- Mix the following and apply it on cold sores twice a day. Keep the solution in a bottle in a cold place.
- (100 ml of Coconut oil in 2 ml of Dettol, and 3 ml of Carbolic acid).
